The Joint Commission released the R3 report on Requirement, Rationale, and Reference for its accredited organizations. The focus of this report was to provide new requirements and the rationale and references guiding the requirements. As part of the R3 report, the Joint Commission outlined requirements for Patient-centered communication standards for hospitals.
